Energy-Efficiency Case Study

This upscale, urban living apartment complex embodies southwest feel and style. The Flin development team, which began this project in early 2020, came to Quaker with questions. Quaker had the right answers -- and the right products in our K200 Aluminum Windows and M300 Sliding Aluminum Doors.

  • Horizontal Sliding and Fixed Windows met design specs

  • Sliding Doors, with the capability of going 8’ tall, were exactly what developers wanted.

  • In the southwest, energy values are atop every list. Quaker’s K200 windows furnished U-Values as low as 0.31 and SHGC values as low as 0.25 -- excellent numbers for all-aluminum windows.

  • Local windloads called for varying insulating glass and glass pane thickness, with I.G. up to 1”, and glass panes up to 1/4” panes for upper fl oors.

  • Custom bent break metal was supplied for head and sill flashing on all windows.

  • Structural mulls were shipped loose to allow for on-site assembly of 125” multi-window units.

The Flin, with more than 600 Quaker windows and doors and 244 apartments/lofts, was completed in 2022.
